Tracking biological samples
From the feasibility study to an RFID label for each test tube and a shielded box for bulk reading: up to 1,000 samples checked in a single cycle.
The challenge
Ensure the traceability and bulk verification of test tubes holding biological samples of high investigative value. Small tubes, many of them, close together: the solution had to read them all at once, up to 1,000 samples per cycle, without errors.
The solution
We followed the project from start to finish. First the full study: requirements, reading tests and choice of technology. Then we designed and produced the RFID-tagged label for the tubes, and a shielded bulk-reading box that checks its whole contents in one go. The software records the checks and movements of every sample.
