From brand to photo shoot: 50,000 garments tracked with RFID
Garments and accessories arrive from brands, go through the warehouse and leave for photo shoots: every movement is recorded, and whole clothing rails are read in one go with a custom-built RFID cabinet.
The challenge
Thousands of garments and accessories arrive from brands, are kept in the warehouse and leave for photo shoots before coming back. Recording every arrival and departure item by item took hours of work, and knowing where an item was depended on manual checks.
The solution
We developed an RFID platform for wardrobe management: every item has a unique RFID identifier. For bulk reading we designed and built an RFID cabinet that takes a whole clothing rail: all the hanging garments are read together, without taking them off one by one. Every step, from brand to warehouse and from warehouse to set, is recorded automatically.
